Mandarin 1 Homework #28

Good afternoon.

Good afternoon. Today we’ve learned the remaining content of Unit 12. We reviewed the text "Spring Festival is Coming" and the pronunciation, meanings, and writing of the 12 new characters we learned last week. We also reviewed the sentences "新年真热闹。" and "新年到了。”Through group competitions, students practiced these sentence structures by expanding and replacing words.

Additionally, using the vocabulary and sentence structures we've learned, and referring to page 74 of the textbook, we had dialogue exercises in groups on the topic of "New Year greetings." By learning "Celebrate the Spring Festival",  students learned six new characters (过、团、快、乐、平、安) and five new words (对联couplets, 饺子dumplings, 团圆reunion, 快乐happiness, 平安safety).

So far we have completed the textbook中文1. The next class will be on May 25, where we will review Pinyin and the entire book's content. Be attention the final test will be on June 1st. Please do review.

Please complete the following exercises：
1.Listen to the recording and repeat the text, words, phrases and sentences of Unit 12. Read and recite text “Celebrate the Spring Festival”.
2.Complete Unit 12 writing practice
3.Read Pinyin list (initials, finals, and sight words) once a day.
4.Refer to the textbook and correct the errors in workbook 1A.
5.Complete Review 4 on page 76 to 79 of the Chinese textbook. (For question 6, you may write pinyin for characters which you don’t know how to write.)

We do not have class on May 18.  The next class will be on May 25.

家长朋友们同学们，

下午好。今天我们主要学习了中文第十二单元的剩余内容。复习了课文《新年到》和上周学习的12个生字的的读音、含义和书写。我们复习了句子“新年真热闹。”和“新年到了。”通过小组比赛，孩子们围绕这个句型结构进行词语扩展和替换的练习。
另外，我们使用所学词语和句型并参考课本74页内容，围绕“拜年”，分组进行了对话练习。通过诵读《过新年》，孩子们认识了6个新汉字（过、团、快、乐、平、安），并学习了五个词语（对联、饺子、团圆、快乐、平安）。
目前我们《中文1》课本的所有内容已全部学习完毕。下次上课时间为5月25日，我们会复习汉语拼音和整本书的内容；6月1日为期末测试。希望同学们利用这两周时间认真复习，及时修改练习册出错的地方，将未完成的练习补做，有问题及时提问。

本次课后，请同学们完成以下练习：
1.听录音，跟读中文课本第十二单元所有的课文、生字和词语。熟练朗读并背诵课文《过新年》；
2.完成Unit12汉字书写练习。
3.大声朗读汉语拼音声母表、韵母表和整体认读音节。每天一遍。
4.对照课本，改正练习册1A出错的地方。补做1B未完成练习。
5.完成课本76至79页综合练习（四）。(第六题不会写的字可以写拼音）

请注意，咱们5月18日不上课，下次上课时间为5月25日。

  Hi parents and students, Today we continued with Lesson 6. In class, we practiced using the sentence patterns “我（不）会...” (I can/cannot...) and “我学会了...” (I have learned...) to answer the questions “你会做什么？” (What can you do?) and “你学会了什么？” (What have you learned?). At home, parents can use these two questions to ask your child and encourage them to practice more. The lesson text was a tongue twister with a storyline. By reading it aloud, we experienced the rhythm of Chinese and understood the importance of tones in pronunciation. Before practicing the tongue twister, we learned the pronunciation and meaning of 7 new Chinese characters: 毛, 抱, 猫, 破, 赶, 苗, and 捉. We also reviewed the radicals “扌” (related to hand actions) and “走” (related to movement) and introduced a new radical, “犭,” which is often used for words related to animals or their actions.
