 Hi G2B parents and students,


Good evening! Today in class, we focused on some common polite expressions in Chinese. We also worked on the 12 new characters from page 25 in the textbook, covering their writing, pronunciation, and meanings. We practiced making words and phrases with these characters, and I encourage my students to use these polite phrases in daily life to build good manners. Let’s all work on becoming respectful and polite!


Here are some key points to remember:

1. For words like 谢谢(the second谢), 对不起(the不"), 没关系(the系), and孩子 (the子), their syllables are pronounced neutral tone without tone marks.

2. Please distinguish between 再 (again) and 在 (at/in/on), and avoid mixing them up when creating words and phrases.

3. 走(to walk) is a common radical used in characters. When writing this radical, make sure the last stroke is extended a bit to support the rest of the character.

4. The fifth stroke in没should be a horizontal turn with a small bend, not a hook.

5. The left side of孩has the radical 子. The third stroke is a upward stroke, not a horizontal line.

6. The character 系has a radical糸, which relates to threads or connection. Characters with this radical often relate to thread, fabric, or connection.


Homework for this week

1. Read pages 24-25 of the textbook aloud.

2. Complete exercises on pages 16-30 in workbook 2B.

3. Review and correct errors from the first unit test.

晚上好。今天在课上我们学习了几个中文中常见的礼貌用语。也学习了课本25页的12个生字的书写、读音和涵义，并且我们尝试用这些生字组了非常多的词语。希望同学们学习这节课的内容之后，在日常生活中，多用中文礼貌用语，养成讲礼貌的好习惯，大家一起做有礼貌的好孩子。


在本课学习过程中，请孩子们注意以下几点：

1.“谢谢”的第二个谢、“对不起”的不、“没关系”的系、“孩子”的子都是轻声。在写拼音时不需要标声调。

2.请区分“再”和“在”的涵义，组词时不要混淆。

3.“走”是一个非常常见的汉字部首（走字旁）。写这个偏旁时，最后一笔的捺要写长一些，托住剩余的其它部分。

4.“没”的第5画为横折弯，容易误写成横折弯钩。

5.“孩”的偏旁为“子”，第三画为提，不是横。

6.“系”字的偏旁是“糸”（mì），这是一个与丝线相关的部首。带有“糸”部的字一般与丝线、纺织或连接、关联的意思有关。


本次课后作业：

1.朗读课本第24至25页内容。

2.完成练习册2B第16页至30页内容。

3.修改第一次单元检测试卷上的错误。

  Hi parents and students, Today we continued with Lesson 6. In class, we practiced using the sentence patterns “我（不）会...” (I can/cannot...) and “我学会了...” (I have learned...) to answer the questions “你会做什么？” (What can you do?) and “你学会了什么？” (What have you learned?). At home, parents can use these two questions to ask your child and encourage them to practice more. The lesson text was a tongue twister with a storyline. By reading it aloud, we experienced the rhythm of Chinese and understood the importance of tones in pronunciation. Before practicing the tongue twister, we learned the pronunciation and meaning of 7 new Chinese characters: 毛, 抱, 猫, 破, 赶, 苗, and 捉. Mandarin G2B Homework #22

Hi Parents and Students, Good afternoon.  In today’s class, we reviewed Pinyin, characters, and vocabulary from the last lesson. We also completed the remaining content of Lesson 9. The key sentence pattern for this lesson was  “ 为什么河水会流动？ ” (Why does the river flow?) . Through this structure, students learned how to ask questions using  “ 为什么 ” (why) . During our class discussion, everyone shared creative and interesting “why” questions. By practicing this sentence pattern, students not only improved their understanding of  “ 为什么 ” , but also reviewed the correct use of the question mark in writing. For speaking practice, we focused on two important structures:  “ 为什么 ” (why) and “ 会不会 ” (can or not) . Through dialogue exercises, students learned how to use these phrases in real conversations, enhancing their speaking skills.
