Mandarin 1 Homework #21

Good afternoon. Today we started with a group competition to review pinyin and the nine characters (的、家、这、有、爷、奶、爸、妈、和) that we learned in the last lesson. We also reviewed the sentence patterns "这是我的家。" and "我爱我的家。" and did some word substitution exercises. Students used photos and pictures to practise introducing their family members through a small presentation. Then we paired up and did more practice through dialogues. We learned six new characters (放、回、到、给、完、把) and their meanings and readings, and practiced reading the text "放学歌". 

By checking the workbooks, I want to remind students that they must correct the errors that appear in the workbook in time, and think about what caused the mistakes. If there are any unfinished writing exercises, please make up for them in time. I also kindly ask parents to remind your children to complete the exercises on time and correct the mistakes in time after class.

After this class, please complete the following exercises:
1. Correct the errors that appear in the Chinese workbook 1B. Please keep the wrong content and write the correct answer next to it with a different color pen. If there are any unfinished exercises, please make up for them. I will check your homework corrections next class.
2. Listen to the recording and follow the reading of all content in Unit 9 of the Chinese textbook. Read and recite the text "After School".
3. Complete the "Unit 8 汉字书写练习". Please write each character and its pinyin twice every day. If you haven't done Unit 9 汉字书写练习 yet，you can keep doing it this week.
4. Complete “综合练习（三）”on pages 54 to 56 of the Chinese textbook.
5. Review the contents of Unit 5,6,7 and 8 of Pinyin textbook.

Next class we will review the contents of Unit 7, 8 and 9. Then we will have a quiz. Please be well prepared.

家长朋友们同学们，

下午好。今天我们先通过小组比赛默写的方式，复习了拼音和上节课学习的9个汉字（的、家、这、有、爷、奶、爸、妈、和），复习了句型“这是我的家。”和“我爱我的家。”并进行了词语替换练习。同学们利用照片和图片通过一个小演讲，练习了用中文介绍家庭成员。之后我们两两分组，通过对话的方式进行了更多练习。我们新学习了6个汉字（放、回、到、给、完、把）的含义和认读，一起练习阅读了《放学歌》。
通过检查练习册，我想提醒孩子们，练习册上出现的错误，一定要及时改正，并思考是什么原因导致的出错，多做自我总结。如果有漏题，请一定及时补做。也请求家长朋友们在课后提醒孩子们按时完成练习，并及时修改出错的地方。

本次课后，请同学们完成以下练习：
1.修改中文练习册1B中出现的错误。请保留写错的内容，用不同颜色的笔把正确答案写在旁边。如果有未完成的练习，请补做。下次上课，我会检查大家的作业的修改。
2.听录音，跟读中文课本第九单元所有的课文、生字和词语。熟读并背诵课文《放学歌》；
3.完成“Unit 8 汉字书写练习”，每天每个字写两遍，需要给每个汉字标注拼音。如果“Unit 9 汉字书写练习”还未完成，本周请继续按天书写。
4.完成中文课本第54页到56页综合练习（三）。
5.复习汉语拼音课本第5、6、7、8课内容。

下节课我们会复习第7、8、9单元的内容，并进行一个小测试。请同学们课后认真复习。

Mandarin G2B Homework #14

  Hi parents and students, Today we continued with Lesson 6. In class, we practiced using the sentence patterns “我（不）会...” (I can/cannot...) and “我学会了...” (I have learned...) to answer the questions “你会做什么？” (What can you do?) and “你学会了什么？” (What have you learned?). At home, parents can use these two questions to ask your child and encourage them to practice more. The lesson text was a tongue twister with a storyline. By reading it aloud, we experienced the rhythm of Chinese and understood the importance of tones in pronunciation. Before practicing the tongue twister, we learned the pronunciation and meaning of 7 new Chinese characters: 毛, 抱, 猫, 破, 赶, 苗, and 捉. We also reviewed the radicals “扌” (related to hand actions) and “走” (related to movement) and introduced a new radical, “犭,” which is often used for words related to animals or their actions. Mandarin G2B Homework #22

Hi Parents and Students, Good afternoon.  In today’s class, we reviewed Pinyin, characters, and vocabulary from the last lesson. We also completed the remaining content of Lesson 9. The key sentence pattern for this lesson was  “ 为什么河水会流动？ ” (Why does the river flow?) . Through this structure, students learned how to ask questions using  “ 为什么 ” (why) . During our class discussion, everyone shared creative and interesting “why” questions. By practicing this sentence pattern, students not only improved their understanding of  “ 为什么 ” , but also reviewed the correct use of the question mark in writing. For speaking practice, we focused on two important structures:  “ 为什么 ” (why) and “ 会不会 ” (can or not) . Through dialogue exercises, students learned how to use these phrases in real conversations, enhancing their speaking skills.
