 家长朋友们同学们，


下午好。今天我们继续学习了中文第十一单元。通过游戏和小组比赛，我们复习了10个汉字（认、方、向、面、太、阳、东、西、北、南）的读音、含义和书写，练习了组词，并检查了课文《认方向》复习情况。我们练习了方位词和句型“我的...面是 ...”的使用。之后分组练习了课本67页对话。最后，我们一起学习了课文《大象的朋友》，并认识了五个新汉字“象、朋、友、猪、起、虎、鹿、兔、鼠”。很多同学已经能够当堂将课文熟读或背诵。

本次课后，请同学们完成以下练习：
1.听录音，跟读中文课本第十一单元第63至68页的课文、生字和词语。熟练朗读并背诵课文《认方向》；
2. 继续完成中文练习册1A第68页到第83页练习。（已完成的同学可忽略此项任务）
3.完成“Unit11_汉字书写练习.pdf”（请打印并按天完成）

下节课我们会学习中文课本第十二单元。请课后多多练习，有问题随时提问。

Good afternoon.

Today, in our Chinese class, we continued our exploration of Unit 11. We reviewed the pronunciation, meanings, and writing of the 10 characters that we’ve learned last week. Students practiced forming compound words using these characters and I also checked their understanding of the text "Directions". Then we focused on using directional words and the sentence pattern "我的...面是..." (My... is facing...) to practising introducing things around. Furthermore, we’ve also practised dialogue on page 67 in pairs. Lastly, we delved into the text "The Elephant’s Friends" and introduced five new characters: 象 (xiàng), 朋 (péng), 友 (yǒu), 猪 (zhū), 起 (qǐ), 虎 (hǔ), 鹿 (lù), 兔 (tù), 鼠 (shǔ). Students were encouraged to memorize this passage.

After class, please complete the following exercises：
1.Listen to the recording and repeat the text, words and phrases on page 63 to 68 from Unit 11 of the Chinese textbook. Read and recite text “The Elephant’s Friends”.
2.Keep doing exercises from page 68 to 83 in Chinese workbook 1A if you haven’t done yet.
3.Complete “Unit 11 汉字书写练习”.  You need a printer to print out the PDF.

  Hi parents and students, Today we continued with Lesson 6. In class, we practiced using the sentence patterns “我（不）会...” (I can/cannot...) and “我学会了...” (I have learned...) to answer the questions “你会做什么？” (What can you do?) and “你学会了什么？” (What have you learned?). At home, parents can use these two questions to ask your child and encourage them to practice more. The lesson text was a tongue twister with a storyline. By reading it aloud, we experienced the rhythm of Chinese and understood the importance of tones in pronunciation. Before practicing the tongue twister, we learned the pronunciation and meaning of 7 new Chinese characters: 毛, 抱, 猫, 破, 赶, 苗, and 捉. We also reviewed the radicals “扌” (related to hand actions) and “走” (related to movement) and introduced a new radical, “犭,” which is often used for words related to animals or their actions. Hi Parents and Students, Good afternoon.  In today’s class, we reviewed Pinyin, characters, and vocabulary from the last lesson. We also completed the remaining content of Lesson 9. The key sentence pattern for this lesson was  “ 为什么河水会流动？ ” (Why does the river flow?) . Through this structure, students learned how to ask questions using  “ 为什么 ” (why) . During our class discussion, everyone shared creative and interesting “why” questions. By practicing this sentence pattern, students not only improved their understanding of  “ 为什么 ” , but also reviewed the correct use of the question mark in writing. For speaking practice, we focused on two important structures:  “ 为什么 ” (why) and “ 会不会 ” (can or not) . Through dialogue exercises, students learned how to use these phrases in real conversations, enhancing their speaking skills.
