Key activities included: 1.Noun substitution practice with the sentence "妈妈买了面包" to enhance vocabulary flexibility. 2.Practicing birthday greetings in Chinese through dialogues. 3.Learning and using the sentence structure "Person + 买了 + Object。" with free talk around the theme of "shopping." We also learned eight new Chinese characters: 加 (add), 横 (horizontal stroke), 变 (change), 成 (become/grown/succeed), 干 (dry), 坏 (bad), 帅 (handsome), 环 (ring). Students explored how adding strokes to basic characters (like 一, 十, 土, 口) can form new characters through a fun competition. During the lesson, we also reviewed pinyin. I noticed some students confused the initials zh (as in知) and j (as in鸡). Please review the pronunciation of these initials at home.
